Risto Ketola

Experience:

Risto joined Momentum Metropolitan Holdings in August 2016 to head up investor relations and business performance management. In this position, Risto was responsible for the investor relations function as well as the design, approval, monitoring, and reporting of balanced scorecards at various levels for the group. He has extensive experience as a financial services analyst and researcher with Standard Bank, Ketola Research and Deutsche Bank. As the Group Finance Director, Risto is responsible for investor relations, business performance management, group financial reporting, group-wide services, mergers and acquisitions, balance sheet management, and group facilities. Risto is also the executive in charge of the Africa businesses and our joint venture in India.

Peter Tshiguvho

Experience:

Peter joined Metropolitan in February 2017 as Head of Channel. He has extensive financial services distribution experience, having fulfilled various distribution related roles across both lower-income and affluent markets, both in South Africa and Rest of Africa as well as across different product segments. Prior to joining Metropolitan, Peter was with Old Mutual as the head of corporate and public worksites, prior to which head of distribution responsible for sales and distribution in countries where Old Mutual had a presence.

Dumo Mbethe

Experience:

Dumo has 18 years' experience in the financial services industry, approximately 12 of which have been at executive level. He joined the Group in 2017 from Old Mutual, where he was General Manager – Member Solutions in the Corporate business. Before being appointed to his current position, he was CEO of Momentum Metropolitan Africa. Dumo has served on various country-level boards within Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited and is currently a non-executive director for the Metropolitan International Holdings and Metropolitan Internal Support Board of Directors. Externally, he is also a member of the Actuarial Governance Board, which oversees the professional conduct of actuaries in South Africa. Until recently, he served as a Board Member for aYo – a joint venture between Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited and MTN.

Kudakwashe Mudzengi

Experience:

Kudakwashe, or Kuda as he is affectionately known, joined Momentum Metropolitan in 2018 as Chief Finance Officer of the Africa segment. Prior to joining, he served various roles in several countries for Old Mutual Africa and, over the past 14 years, he has gained extensive experience in the financial services industry across Africa. Today, Kuda serves on various country-level boards within Momentum Metropolitan across the continent.

Phillip Matlakala

Experience:

Phillip has been an active member of Momentum Metropolitan for many years, serving in a variety of roles, including as CEO of Metropolitan Retail, until his retirement. Today, he is putting his experience of over 21 years to great use serving as a non-executive director for Metropolitan International Support and Metropolitan International Holdings. He is currently also serving as a board member in Namibia and Lesotho, following previous stints as a member of various boards in Namibia, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
